Behind the Bar with Maria: Ostriches, Tequila, and 10 Years of Brand Love.
If you’ve ever crossed paths with Maria at an event, chances are you remember her. She’s the one laughing with guests, talking flavor notes, and possibly posing next to a giant ostrich (more on that later). Maria has been with Every Sip for just a year, but with 10 years of promo experience under her belt, she’s no stranger to the scene.
“I originally heard about Every Sip through my friend Claudia,” Maria says. “She had nothing but good things to say. Once I started, I knew exactly what she meant.”
From the start, Maria hit the ground running, attending events, repping brands she genuinely loves, and turning tasting tables into memorable experiences.
A Spirit for Spirits
What keeps her coming back? “I love learning about new brands and getting to share that excitement with people,” she says. “It’s fun when someone tries something for the first time and loves it, it makes you feel like you’re part of the discovery.”
When asked about her favorite brand to represent, she doesn’t hesitate: Shanky’s Whip.
“The branding is hilarious - the ostrich, the backstory, the props, it’s all such a vibe. Plus, the setup always draws a great crowd.”
(Side note: if you’ve never seen someone enthusiastically explain an Irish liqueur next to a life-sized ostrich, you haven’t truly lived.)
Beyond the Booth
Outside of the promo world, Maria works as a radiologic technologist at a hospital. When she’s off the clock, she’s either booking her next trip or watching horror movies (preferably with a sparkling water or a tequila cocktail in hand).
This year, one event in particular stuck with her: The Irish Fair at Harriet Island.
“The energy was amazing. It was packed, everyone was having a blast, it was one of those weekends where you just remember why you love this job.”

Maria brings more than just experience to Every Sip; she brings warmth, humor, and a genuine passion for what she does. She’s the kind of ambassador who makes people feel welcome, whether it’s their first tasting or their fiftieth.
